Overview

This one day conference will be held in memory of Professor Tom McLeish FRS, who led the Physics of Life network during PoLNET2 and part of PoLNET3, before handing over to Professor Mark Leake. Tom was a friend and colleague admired by many and did so much towards building the current UK Physics of Life Community. Tom sadly passed away earlier this year.

This conference is based around the themes in biological physics that interested Tom during his research career, including (but not limited to):
* Polymer physics of Single Proteins
* Protein folding and mis-folding
* Statistical mechanics of evolution
* Mechanics of cytoskeletal networks

Venue

The conference will take place at the Isaac Newton Institute on Clarkson Road. All talks will take place in Seminar Room 1.

The closest airport to Cambridge is Stansted. Regular trains run from Stansted and also from King's Cross/St Pancras (for transfer from the Eurostar service from Paris) to Cambridge. The U bus runs a regular service from Cambridge railway station to Storey's Way (just outside the INI).

Registration

There will be no registration fee, but all attendees must register by 19 November. Please follow the link below:
